Community mobilization for MNREGA

Community mobilization for easy access of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act was done in Ratanpura block, Mau. During the program pamphlets and posters were distributed and wall writing was done. Village level meeting and rallies were organized. NREGA unions are active at block level and are motivating people for accessing jobs and payments. NREGA union core committee holds its meetings on quarterly basis. With our efforts many people got jobs, many got their job cards renewed, and received their full payment under MNREGA.

Accessing Government Schemes

Coordination was done with different government departments at block to district level resulting in linking of over 130 youths with government technical institutes for skill development. Many women benefited from widow pension and 47 houses were provided to eligible beneficiary. Public hearing, social audit and recommendations are made at different levels. Eighteen recommendations on different cases were made to BDO, ABSA, SDM and DM.
